strategy in Iraq. Not designed with the national interest in mind, obviously. Is is patriotic to put one's political advantage ahead of the national interest? However, I do not question the Democrats' patriotism. It could be, for example, that their espousal of certain absurd factual propositions is not prompted by their political interests.
