Civil war in France
By Tom Smith

This is big news, being underplayed by the US MSM, for completely mysterious reasons, of course.

Just as a tactical matter, is there something flawed about the approach of declaring a curfew, announcing that looters and arsonists will be shot on sight, and sending in the French army? I believe there is still a French army, though I could be mistaken.

The whole notion of, we have to let them burn things, or they will get really mad, or, they have grievances, we have to let them burn things, has always struck me baffling, even though at least as popular in France apparently as it is in this country. The French police are obviously out of their depth. Perhaps the French army could give the action some appropriate, not-inflamatory name: I suggest Operation Charles Martel.
