Dad: These reports about anti-Semitism in Britain are really disturbing.
Patrick [age 10]: What's anti-Semitism?
Dad: Hating Jews.
Patrick: That's ridiculous! What did the Jews ever do to anybody? They're just sitting around, minding their own business . . .
Mom: . . . reading the Torah . . .
Luke [age 12]: Yeah. If you're going to pick a religion to hate, why don't you pick the one that hates everybody else? I mean, I don't mean to offend anyone, but you don't see any
Jews flying airplanes into buildings!
Dad: Well, some people think the Israelis are oppressing the Palestinians . . .
Luke: No, it's the Palestinians who are
trying to oppress the Israelis. They just suck at their job.
Dad: Don't say "suck."
