NY Times hits new low
By Tom Smith

"And now for another memorial of a Marine killed in Iraq, in which we pretend to give a shit about dead servicemen, in the hopes of undermining American foreign policy, because that's what we habitually do."

That's bad enough. But when the Times actually edits a letter home from a now dead Marine, in order to give a false impression of how he saw the war (he was for it), that is not just exploiting the death of a man whose boots the Times is not worthy to polish, it is doing it in a way that perverts and discredits the whole idea of a journalistic integrity. How much lower can they get? I suppose they could just make stuff up. Oh, that's right, they do that too sometimes.
