More Hope for Iraq?
By Mike Rappaport

According to the New York Times:

Top Muslim clerics and political leaders united Monday behind Iraq's Christians, condemning the coordinated bomb attacks on five churches the day before as a dangerous escalation of the war and an assault on centuries of coexistence between Christians and Muslims here.
It is very sad to hear of the bombings, but the clerics' criticism is significant. Compare it to the relative silence about 9-11 by Muslim clerics in the aftermath of the terrorist attack. And compare it to the support from Muslim clergy in Israel and elsewhere for the Palestinian terrorist bombings within Israel. There is hope for some type of religious freedom in Iraq.
